1. Who can use AISC Libraries ? (Central Library & E-Library)
- Information resources (physical and electronic), services, and spaces of Abeda Inamdar Sr. College Libraries (AISC Libraries) are intended primarily for currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff of Abeda Inamdar Sr. College. However, AISC Libraries also extend limited access to alumni, validated participants in reciprocal borrower programs, members of the local community and authorized guests.
- Abeda Inamdar Sr.College students, faculty, and staff must present a valid College ID Card to check out print books and physical audiovisual media. Off-campus access to electronic resources (ebooks, journal articles, streaming audiovisual media) by currently enrolled students and current faculty and staff requires a valid College network Log-in Credentials.
- An Alumni student or Ex faculty, Staff member, an authorized guest can check out certain library items but they must be physically present in the library to access electronic resources. You can ask a library staff member for assistance with a guest login on a library computer, or wireless login for your personal laptop or mobile device.
- Students and Administrative Staff can check out up to 2 items (including DVDs) at one time. (Books for 7 days; DVDs and CDs for 3 days) Items can be renewed 3 times if they are not on hold for other users.
- Teaching Faculty can check out 10 items including AudioVisual Material at a time for one month where as DVDs and CDs they may check out for 15 days.
- Reference works and latest print periodicals typically cannot be checked out. These items are for in-library use only.
- The library sends automated SMS or Email notices when items are overdue. You will be charged Rs. 1/- per day per item. Students will receive an invoice for the same. Students may settle their accounts at the library during regular hours.
- All items checked out to you are your responsibility until returned. If an item is lost or damaged, you will be charged the library’s cost of replacing the item.
- Outstanding library charges, may block your account until all billed items are returned and/or charges paid.
- Yes. Library has a formal Research Study Room that can be reserved by individuals and groups. Students can reserve it by using the Study Room Reservation Webform available in Student's Help Desk Tab on the library Website.
- There is a Serene Reading Point located at Green Galaxy specially designed as a Quiet Zone for Reading/Study purpose depending on users' need or preference.
- Rooms are for library-appropriate activities only. (e.g. Study, Presentation Rehearsal, Interviews, Conversation Practice etc.)
- Please give 24 hours advanced notice on both the room reservations.
- Users at both locations are encouraged to be respectful of others at all times.
